January 24th in Gennett History, 1922: The Specialty Orchestra under the direction of Pietro Capodiferro recorded “Moon River” in NYC. It appeared on Gennett 4828, Starr-Gennett 9212, Challenge 180 (Hanley’s Specialty Orchestra), Velvet Face 1049 (Joe Richardson’s Orchestra), and Connorized 3062 (Special Orchestra).
