November 15 in Gennett History…

1922: Cantor Shlomo Beinhorn under the name of Mr S. Beinhorn recorded three sides in Richmond. This included two Judaica and one classical numbers. They were released but unnumbered. This is one of the digitized recording cards from matrix 11233 where Beinhorn recorded “Osamnu Mikol Om.” 

1922: Bailey’s Lucky Seven recorded “Bee’s Knees” in NYC. The recording appeared on Gennett 5004, Apex 451, and Starr-Gennett 9321. The recording featured Phil Napoleon (?-c), Jules Levy, Jr (c), Carlie Panelli (tb), Loring McMurray and Jimmy Lytell (as/cl), unknown (p), Nick Lucas (bjo), and Jack Roth (d).  

1923: Ralph Errole recorded “Stay Home, Little Girl” in NYC. It appeared on Gennett 5306 and Starr-Gennett 9455 and featured Errole (vox).
