Pace Jubilee Singers Gennett Walk of Fame Medallion
February 20th in Gennett History, 1928: The Pace Jubilee Singers recorded six sides in Chicago. Three of them went unissued. “My Father’s House” and “In My Heart” were paired for a Champion issue (15473) under the pseudonym Dixie Jubilee Singers. This royalty ledger sheet noted sales of around 700 copies in 1928. It shows a detailed accounting for the copyright owners (Glenn Coleman & Co.), but no entries for the performer’s royalties.
