July 7th in Gennett History, 1927: The Triangle Harmony Boys recorded “Canned Heat Blues” in Birmingham. The recording appeared on Gennett 6322, Champion 15415, and Bell 1182. A performers royalty statement to Albert Glenn noted sales of 685 copies in 1928 of the Champion issue.
