Red Nichols Gennett Walk of Fame Medallion

November 12th in Gennett History, 1925: Bailey’s Lucky Seven recorded “Then I’ll Be Happy” in NYC. It appeared on Gennett 3192, Champion 15055, Silvertone 3016, Aco G-15936, Beltona 1063, Coliseum 1915, and Guardsman 1873. Of the musicians known, this recording featured Arthur Fields (v), Red Nichols and Phil Napoleon (c), Miff Mole (tb), Fred Morrow (ts), Joe Tarto (bs), and Vic Berton (d). The Champion issue sold approx. 5,400 copies in 1926 and 1927.
