November 2nd in Gennett History, 1929: Carson Robison recorded “Why I Ain’t Got No Sweetheart” in Richmond. It appeared on Champion 15872, Champion 45145, Gennett 7051, Superior 2580, and Supertone 9549. The Champion 15872 sold 12,394 copies between 1929 and 1932.
