September 12th in Gennett History, 1929: Frank Jenkins’ Pilot Mountaineers recorded “Sunny Home in Dixie” in Richmond. The recording appeared on Gennett 7034 and Supertone 9677. The recording featured Ernest Stoneman (g), Frank Jenkins (f), and Oscar Jenkins (f).
