July 29th in Gennett History, 1929: Mae Glover recorded “Shake It Daddy” in Richmond.  The recording appeared on Gennett 6964, Champion 15814, Champion 50051, Superior 2642, and Supertone 9474.  The recording featured Glover (gtr. & vox), John Byrd (vox).  The Champion 15814 issue sold approx. 13,000 copies between 1929 and 1932.
