July 27th in Gennett History, 1929: William Stoess and His Miami Ramblers recorded “Lonely” in Richmond. It appeared on Gennett 6938, Champion 15800, and Supertone 9465 and featured Thomas Warner (vox). The Champion issue sold approx. 900 copies in 1929 and 1930.
