April 29th in Gennett History, 1961: Trombonist Miff Mole passed away. He recorded “Blue” with McMurray’s California Thumpers on 9/5/1922 in NYC. It appeared on Gennett 4943, Starr-Gennett 9292, and Apex 464.  Miff Mole is enshrined in the Gennett Walk of Fame as a member of Bailey’s Lucky Seven.
