Baileys Lucky Seven Gennett Walk of Fame Medallion

March 9th in Gennett History: Bailey’s Lucky Seven recorded three sides in NYC.  They were “Wet Yo Thumb,” “Everything is KO in KY,” and “Carolina Mammy.”  Each track featured Ernest Hare (vox), Phil Napoleon (?) (c), Miff Mole (tb), Benny Krueger and Loring McMurray (sax), Gus Sharpe (cl), unknown (p), Nick Lucas (bjo), and Jack Roth (d).

 

 

 

“Everything is KO in KY” appeared on Gennett 5078 and Starr-Gennett 9379:

“Wet Yo Thumb” appeared on Gennett 5076 and Starr-Gennett 9380:  

“Carolina Mammy” appeared on Gennett 5078 and Starr-Gennett 9379:
