Happy 115th Birthday, Wingy Manone! (2/13/1900). Manone and His Orchestra recorded “Tar Paper Stomp” in Richmond on 8/28/1930. It appeared on Champion 16153 and 40005, Superior 2818, and Decca 7425. A Decca royalty statement for Decca 7425 noted sales of 711 copies for the period ending 9/30/36.
