Feb 6th in Gennett History, 1925: An interesting day of recording occurred in NYC. The New York Philharmonic recorded two sides that appeared on Gennett and Ginn’s Music Appreciation series, Giuseppe Di Benedetto recorded two sides that appeared on Gennett 5680, some one or group named Serbagi recorded six unissued sides and two uncredited sides were recorded for the Ku Klux Klan. “Hear the Call of the Ku Klux Klan” and “Come Join The Ku Klux Klan” were released on KKK 75009. Here is the recording card from the hummable hit that beckoned you to “Come Join The Ku Klux Klan” from matrix 9329.
