Dec 22nd in Gennett History, 1926: Jack Kaufman recorded “Where Do You Work-a John” in NYC. I do not know if this video is from that recording (though it indicates it is from 1926), but Kaufman’s Gennett session appeared on Gennett 6010, Challenge 227, Silvertone 8014, Supertone 9278, Aco G-16182, and Champion 15195. A royalty statement for the Champion release indicated 2,210 sales in 1927.
