Sept. 4th in Gennett History, 1930: Walter Cole recorded “Mama Keep Your Yes Ma’am Clean” in Richmond. It appeared on Ch. 16104 and Ge. 7318. It featured Walter Cole (v), Ralph Miller (p), Bayless Rose (g), and James Robinson (f). The Gennett ledger noted this performance as “Fair, B+.” The Champion issue sold 718 copies in 1930 and 1931.
