Sept. 3rd in Gennett History, 1925: Vernon Dalhart recorded “The John T Scopes Trial” in NYC. It appeared on Chg. 166, Ch. 15025, Ge 3134, and Sil. 3134. The Champion issue sold approx. 600 copies in 1925 and 1926. The Gennett recording featured Carson Robison on guitar. This recording is from his earlier version on Edison.
