Aug. 29th in Gennett History, 1922: The Friars Society Orchestra – Directed by Husk O’Hara – recorded “Tiger Rag” in Richmond. It appeared on Br. 02212, Ge. 4968, S-G 9313, and Temple 550. The recording featured Paul Mares (c), George Brunies (tb), Jack Pettis (ts), Leon Rappolo (cl), Elmer Schoebel (p), Steve Brown (bs), Lou Black (bjo), and Frank Snyder (d).
