Aug. 28th in Gennett History, 1927: Dunk Rendleman and the Alabamians recorded “Mean Dog Blues” in Birmingham. It appeared on Ch 15399, Ge 6322, and Spr. 328. The Champion issue sold 842 copies in 1927 and 1928. Known musicians in the band included Bob Hamilton (c), Bill Aderholt (sax), Bob Percy (p), Worth Roberts (bs), and Dunk Rendleman (bjo).
