Jan. 26th in Gennett History, 1925: Bix Beiderbecke and his Rhythm Jugglers recorded “Davenport Blues” in Richmond. It appeared on Ge 5654, Br 02206, HRS 22 & Session 6. The track featured Bix Beiderbecke (tmt), Tommy Dorsey (tbn), Don Murray (cl), Paul Mertz (pno), Howdy Quicksell (banjo) & Tom Gargano (drums).
